Aviemore & Area Learning Project (AALP) Aviemore and Area Learning Partnership (AALP) is a community learning project based in Aviemore. The purpose of AALP is to provide local learning opportunities without the need to travel. AALP is conveniently situated in rented premises, which have recently been refurbished, on Grampian Road in Aviemore. There is a training room with eight new computers and a meeting room, which is also used for training, as required. There are two further new computers housed in a central reception area, which allow access to learners needing a short practice session. Inverness College provide IT back-up and support. There is also a small kitchen and toilet. AALP is now a well-equipped learning facility, which is rented by a number of organisations to support various learning activities. AALP also organises short IT courses, for which it sources tutors and runs a programme of recreational and introductory learning opportunities to benefit both members of the community and business. AALP is currently offering a number of certificated courses in conjunction with Inverness College, as well as a selection of non-vocational courses within AALP and the surrounding area. AALP is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. The centre is LearnDirect Scotland branded and has its Investors in People Standard (IIP).
