The requirements for this course are that you must have a working knowledge of Windows and IT applications, particularly Word, Excel and Access

Course Content

  • File Management - creating folders and moving and copying documents
  • Word Processing
    • working with multi documents
    • creating and editing mail-merge information
    • mass mailing envelopes and labels
    • formatting page layout
    • formatting paragraphs and creating hanging indents
    • formal layout of letters, memos and reports
    • creating and editing tables
  • Introduction to Spreadsheets
    • creating multi-page workbooks
    • editing, deleting, formatting data
    • inserting and deleting columns and rows
    • calculations using functions and formulae
    • formatting cells, columns and rows, including borders and shading
    • saving and printing documents
  • Introduction to Database
    • creating a database using different applications
    • entering and editing data to records
    • deleting and inserting records
    • merging data with word document for mailing purposes
  • Introduction to Internet
    • using search engines
    • copying text and pictures to Word to create a formal report
