- File Management - creating and naming folders, etc
- Word Processing
- opening, printing and saving documents
- editing and formatting text
- replacing text
- changing line spacing, page margins and indenting text from margins
- inserting data from another application, e.g. spreadsheet
- Introduction to Spreadsheets
- editing, deleting, formatting data
- inserting and deleting a number of columns and rows
- calculations using functions and formulae, e.g. sum, min, max,
average
- bordering and shading cells
- using absolute referencing
- setting print area in a spreadsheet
- Introduction to Databases
- fields and data type, setting field size, etc
- editing data in records using lookup wizard
- sorting data in alphabetical order
- deleting and inserting records
- querying database and printing results as a report
- creating a report using wizard
- formatting data in report, aligning text and adding footer
- Introduction to Internet
- search engines using Boolean operators
- copying text and pictures to Word to create and report
